If you are new to CBI, welcome!
Book an appointment to reserve time with one of our sailing instructors. We’ll get you signed up and we will orient you to the boathouse and create a plan to get you on the water. Weather permitting, we’ll take you sailing on the river! If you want to start a course of lessons, your instructor will determine an appropriate structure to get you started! Adaptive seating and Hoyer Lift are available.
Orientation/first sail appointments are 1 hour and 25 minutes. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you can fill out and we can process your registration forms. Subsequent lessons run 1 hour 15 minutes. If you need adaptive seating or to use a hoyer lift, your subsequent lessons will be 1 hour 20 minutes to account for transferring into and out of the boat.
After your orientation, book up to two lessons a week! Sailors will work at an appropriate pace with an instructor to master sailing skills and work towards the ratings that we offer.
