GBAR holds third successful professional conference

Boston: Greater Boston Access to Recreation, GBAR, held its third successful professional conference at the Boston Nature Center in Dorchester with over 60 attendees from various organizations serving individuals with special needs.

Guest speaker, Joe Walsh gave the keynote on adaptive sports and their power to not only inspire but strengthen the whole individual while talking about his participation in US Paralympics and how we can work together to grow the field.

Breakout sessions included professional development opportunities in serving individuals with visual impairments and transfer techniques for adaptive recreation providers.
