Camp on your own in an accessible yurt at a DCR campground! The Universal Access Program is making several yurts available this summer and fall.

Yurts offer an accessible camping experience for campers of all abilities and are a comfortable way to enjoy natural surroundings without “roughing it.” A yurt is a circular, domed structure that is supported by a wooden frame and covered in heavy, durable canvas. It has a spacious interior with a skylight, screened windows, and locking doors. DCR yurts are furnished with beds, a table and chairs, and electricity.

Both four- and six-person yurts are available. Four-person yurts cost $45/night for MA residents and $50/night for non-MA residents. 6-person yurts cost $55/night for MA residents and $60/night for non-MA residents.

For more information or to reserve a yurt, call Rachael at 413-545-5745.
