The sport of sled hockey enables youth and adults to play hockey sitting down and is played by athletes with spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, lower limb amputations, cerebral palsy and other lower body impairments. Massachusetts Sled Hockey Initiative sessions are open to friends and siblings who do not have disabilities to play on ice as well. Coaching and equipment are provided to participants in all sled hockey sessions.
Massachusetts Adaptive Hockey Initiative:
The Dr. Bernard R. and Edna M. Sears Adaptive Hockey Program at Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers is dedicated to the growth of adaptive hockey in the Boston Metro area and Eastern Massachusetts for individuals of all abilities.
Cost: No cost to participants in 2016 thanks to a generous gift from Dr. Bernard R. and Edna M. Sears.
Every Other Saturday: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
